Floki Registers MiCAR-Compliant White Paper With ESMA
Floki has become the first cryptocurrency token to have a White Paper formally registered with the European Securities and Markets Authority under the European Union’s Markets in Crypto‑Assets Regulation.
The filing was submitted through LCX, a regulated European exchange, to its National Competent Authority, which notified ESMA. This process places Floki on ESMA’s interim MiCA register and grants the token admission to trading on regulated platforms across the European Union.
Under MiCAR, crypto‑assets can only be offered or traded on regulated venues after their White Paper is lodged with a national authority and recorded by ESMA. The notice confirming Floki’s registration makes clear that no authority has approved the White Paper itself and that responsibility for its content remains with the issuer.
LCX, which managed the submission, operates as a regulated European exchange providing trading, tokenisation and digital asset services.
